Cowen Consulting & Wellness | Gillette, Wyoming
Helping Wyoming families take the first step toward HFWA.
I'm Jena Cowen, the certified HFWA wraparound coach and independent CASII evaluator behind Cowen Consulting & Wellness. CASII is the assessment Wyoming's Care Management Entity uses before a youth can move into High Fidelity Wraparound, and it's where most families meet me first.
I also do HFWA consulting for agencies, run 307 Core Studio, and offer wellness support on the side, but CASII assessments are where it all starts.
Takes just a few minutes. Have your contact info and the youth's basic info on hand before you start.
The First Step
What CASII is, and why it comes first
I'm a certified HFWA wraparound coach and an independent CASII evaluator here in Wyoming. CASII stands for the Child and Adolescent Service Intensity Instrument, the assessment Wyoming's Care Management Entity uses to figure out whether a youth qualifies for High Fidelity Wraparound, or HFWA. Before any wraparound team gets built, this assessment has to happen, and that's where I come in.

Fill out the short form below. It takes a few minutes and gets your family into the queue.
-
2
Move to booking
Once your referral is reviewed, you'll move into scheduling. Don't worry if you can't book that second, the link will be sitting in your email when you're ready.
-
3
Check your email
Your family and your FCC, the Care Coordinator working with you, will both get an email with next steps, the release of information forms, and a link to book your appointment time.
-
4
Meet over Zoom
We'll meet face to face on Zoom, in a space that feels less like an evaluation and more like a conversation.
Field Note
This works best when the FCC books it together with the family right from the start, and when everyone, the youth, a parent or guardian, and the FCC, shows up for the actual appointment. It's standard HFWA practice, and it's consistently the fastest way to get a youth moved into services.
Beyond CASII
The pieces that make it whole
CASII assessments are the front door, and the main reason this site exists. Everything below is the rest of the practice, the pieces that round out Cowen Consulting & Wellness.
For Agencies & Providers
Help running an HFWA program with real fidelity
I'm also a certified HFWA wraparound coach, and I consult with agencies who want their HFWA program to run amazingly well, and stay true to fidelity.
I haven't packaged this into a one size fits all product yet. What I bring is twenty plus years building onboarding systems, fidelity monitoring, billing protocols, and supervision structures from the ground up, and I put that same experience to work alongside your team.
Areas I most often get pulled into:
- Onboarding systems for new staff and contractors
- Fidelity monitoring structures
- Billing protocols
- Supervision cadences
307 Core Studio
A quiet place to reset your nervous system
As a certified NeurOptimal trainer, I built 307 Core Studio right here in Gillette. NeurOptimal is a non invasive neurofeedback system that gives your brain the information it needs to find its own calm. No diagnosis, no digging through your history. Just your brain, doing what it already knows how to do, with a little support.

Support for the body, not just the brain
The work doesn't stop at the studio door. Here's what else I lean on, and recommend to the families and clients I work with.
Frequency Enhanced Supplements
Daily wellness support infused with frequency technology, made for real life, not a perfect routine.
EMF Support
Tools to help your body handle the electronic noise of modern life, from your phone to your wifi router.
Red Light Therapy
Light therapy that supports recovery, skin, and energy, used right here in Gillette or from home.
These products and services are wellness offerings and are not a substitute for medical care. They're not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
About Jena
Twenty plus years of showing up for Wyoming families
I've spent more than twenty years in Wyoming's child welfare and human services world. These days that means working as a certified HFWA wraparound coach and an independent CASII evaluator, but long before either of those titles, I was just someone who kept ending up in the room when families needed help.
Early in my career, I sat in a meeting where a mother said, plainly, that she needed help. She wasn't heard. I've never forgotten that. It's a big part of why I do this work the way I do it now, slow down, listen first, and make sure families actually get what they're asking for.
These days that shows up in CASII assessments, in HFWA consulting with agencies, and in 307 Core Studio and the wellness work I do on the side. Different rooms, same idea, show up, listen, and help people move forward.
Whatever brought you to this page, I'm glad you found your way here. Reach out any time.
